I prune vines and recently lost my Felco 12 rotating handle bypass secateurs. As I have pins and needles problems after pruning I decided to try the Fiskars Powergear range, as they felt light and good in the hand, as well as also having the rotating handle, and the return spring is not too strong. I am really pleased. They cut well with less effort and are light in the hand. Also, the ease and speed of separating the blade for sharpening means that I can do this properly every hour or two.
As with gloves on I kept accidentally putting the safety catch on. I resolved this by removing the lock and when required I turn the adjustment wheel fully clockwise, locking the blade in the shut position! Simples!
Overall, very happy. They’re so light and work a treat.
